NORC May Meeting

Speaker: Representative Chris Ward, 66th District
The North Oakland Republican Club (NORC) is pleased to announce our May guest speaker, Republican Majority Floor Leader, Chris Ward, this next Thursday the 25th, 7:00 pm at the Pontiac Country Club. All NORC members are encouraged to attend as are those interested in joining the club.
Representative Ward will update NORC on his legislation to:
1) Reform school elections
2) Prevent absentee voter ballot fraud
3) Enhance ethics oversight to "restore trust and accountability in the way government conducts itself”
We will also cover more details about our June "Meet The Candidates Night" and our July, Summer Extravaganza.

Ward Biography
Ward was re-elected to his second term in the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2004. Ward was selected by his House colleagues to be Majority Floor Leader during the 2005-2006 legislative session.
Before his election to the state House, Ward spent six years as Brighton Township clerk. Prior to being clerk, Ward served as a township trustee. Ward was also chair of the Livingston County Republican Party from 1998 to 2001, as well as state chairman of the Michigan Teenage Republicans from 1991 to 1992.
Ward is a graduate of Brighton High School. He graduated from Cleary University with a degree in Business Administration.
Ward is a member of the Brighton District Library Board, the Township Lakes Committee, Township Open Space Committee, the Township Personnel Committee, Fire Board and Water Authority. The Michigan Jaycees awarded Chris their “Outstanding Young Michigander in Government” award in 2001.
Ward was born May 23, 1974. Chris lives in Brighton with his wife Nicole and their three children.
