Meet the Candidates

NORC's Meet the Candidate Night on May 29 was a huge success! Almost 50 Republican and non-partisan candidates for elected office spoke to a large crowd at the Oakland County Commissioners Auditorium. The presentations will be seen on the cable access show The Oakland Right all over the county in the coming weeks.

Each speaker was given 2 ½ minutes to introduce themselves to the audience, explain why they are running for office, and why they should win in the August and November elections. State Rep. Jack Hoogendyk, who is running hard to unseat long-time U.S. Senator Carl Levin, kicked off the evening and was followed by candidates for the Michigan State House of Representatives, County Commission, numerous judicial positions, and many local municipalities.
