Despite its name and the political pedigrees of its producers, a new cable access show, “The Oakland Right,” promises to be an all-encompassing affair.

“The whole focus of this show is going to be to acknowledge and support people who are involved in grass-roots activism or volunteerism,” said James Thienel, a local Republican activist. “The North Oakland Republican Club is going to be sponsoring the show, but we expect to have as many Democrats and independents on this show as Republicans.”
